AI Act Checker ("we") is an independent private tool that helps organisations self-assess AI systems against Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. We are not affiliated with the European Commission or any government. We process the minimum data needed to provide the assessment.
Independence
AI Act Checker (aiactchecker.pt) is operated independently. It is not an official website of the European Union, the European Commission, or the Portuguese government.
What we collect
Your assessment answers and the resulting classification, stored to generate a shareable result link. Your email address, only if you request the PDF report or join the waitlist.
Lawful basis
Under GDPR Article 6, we rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for email capture, and on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for storing anonymous assessments. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sub-processors
Supabase (PostgreSQL, EU-hosted). Resend (transactional email). Vercel (hosting).
Retention & your rights
We keep assessments for as long as the result link is useful and delete them on request. You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
